About the Role

Our client is seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Development Worker to join their team in Vereeniging . This role focuses on empowering young people by providing them with the support, guidance, and opportunities needed to reach their full potential. You will work directly with youth to develop life skills, build positive relationships, and connect them with educational, vocational, and recreational activities. The ideal candidate is energetic, creative, and committed to making a positive impact on the lives of young individuals in the Gauteng region.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging programs and activities for youth focused on skill-building and personal development.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to young people, helping them set and achieve personal goals.
• Facilitate workshops on topics such as career exploration, financial literacy, and healthy lifestyles.
• Connect youth with relevant resources and opportunities, including educational institutions and potential employers.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with young people and their families.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all participants in youth programs.

Requirements

• A qualification in Youth Development, Social Work, Education, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience working directly with youth in a structured setting.
• Passion for youth empowerment and a strong understanding of adolescent development.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt programs to meet the diverse needs of young people.
• Organizational skills to manage program logistics and participant records.
