About the Company

Our client is a specialist provider of perimeter security, fencing and high-security solutions, serving commercial, industrial, infrastructure and other clients requiring reliable perimeter protection.

The business operates within the broader PRÆSIDIAD network, whose brands include Betafence, Guardiar and Hesco, providing access to global expertise in perimeter security systems and solutions.

About the Role

We are looking for experienced, high-performing Field Sales Representatives who are genuine sales hunters and are comfortable spending the majority of their working day on the road.

This is not a traditional account-management role. You will be responsible for actively identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships, generating your own pipeline and converting opportunities into sales.

The successful candidates will ideally already have a strong network within the building, construction or agricultural sectors and will be able to use these relationships to develop new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory.

• Generate leads through cold calling, prospecting, networking, referrals and industry relationships.

• Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.

• Arrange and conduct client meetings and site visits.

• Identify customer requirements and recommend appropriate fencing and perimeter security solutions.

• Develop relationships with decision-makers, contractors, developers and other relevant stakeholders.

• Prepare and present proposals and quotations.

• Manage opportunities from initial prospecting through to closing.

• Follow up consistently on leads, meetings, quotations and opportunities.

• Develop new and previously untapped markets.

• Maintain accurate records of sales activity and pipeline progress.

• Monitor personal sales statistics, activity levels and performance against targets.

• Work backwards from sales targets to establish the required level of prospecting, calls, meetings and site visits.

• Spend significant time in the field visiting prospective and existing clients.

Essential

• Proven experience in field sales / business development.

• Demonstrated high-performance sales record.

• Strong new-business development and prospecting ability.

• Comfortable with cold calling and generating your own leads.

• Able to demonstrate measurable sales targets and achievements.

• Highly self-motivated and driven by targets.

• Comfortable spending the majority of the working day on the road.

• Own reliable vehicle and valid driver's licence.

• Clear criminal record.

• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.

• Able to work independently and manage your own territory and pipeline.
