Are you a driven sales professional who knows how to turn relationships into business? Our client is looking for a Sales & Specifications Representative to join their team in Wadeville and drive business growth.

You’ll build strong relationships with architects, engineers, designers, contractors, and developers, while securing product specifications in projects, tenders, and designs.

The ideal candidate combines technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and strong relationship-building and sales skills to identify opportunities, influence specifications, and convert them into sales.

Requirements:

• Matric, or equivalent qualification
• Previous experience in interior design, commercial sales, hospitality sales, or a related industry.
• Proven track record in business development and/or sales.
• Strong understanding of interior design principles, finishes, materials, furniture, or related products.
• Experience dealing with hospitality and/or corporate clients would be highly advantageous.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify sales opportunities.
• Ability to work independently and manage a territory/client base effectively.
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle.

Duties and Responsibilities::

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the hospitality and corporate sectors.
• Regularly call on hotels, lodges, restaurants, offices, corporate companies, and other commercial clients.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and industry professionals.
• Conduct client visits and site assessments to understand project requirements.
• Present interior design concepts, products, finishes, and solutions to clients.
• Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and product presentations.
• Work closely with clients to understand their aesthetic, functional, and budget requirements.
• Follow up on leads, quotations, and potential projects to convert opportunities into sales.
• Maintain regular contact with existing customers to identify additional sales opportunities.
• Keep up to date with current interior design trends, materials, finishes, and commercial design solutions.
• Liaise with designers, suppliers, project teams, and internal departments to ensure projects are delivered according to client expectations.
• Monitor sales activity and maintain accurate records of client interactions and opportunities.
• Achieve agreed sales targets and contribute towards overall business growth.
• Attend industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities to generate new business.
