POSITION INFO:
Our client, a respected leader in the automation and industrial engineering sector, is seeking a skilled E-Plan Designer to join their team in Midrand. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing electrical designs and documentation for automation projects, assisting with control system concepts and hardware selection, preparing detailed manufacturing and installation drawings, and supporting commissioning activities. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Education:
- National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in automation and electrical design environments.
- Strong proficiency in E-Plan design software.
- Experience in electrical control panel design and automation systems.
- Knowledge of South African electrical standards, including SANS 10142, and exposure to international standards.
- Ability to develop detailed electrical schematics, layouts, and supporting documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and within a project team environment.
- Project exposure within automotive, manufacturing, or industrial automation environments will be advantageous.
