About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust bioinformatics pipelines for the analysis of next-generation sequencing (NGS) data.
- Perform complex statistical analyses and interpretation of genomic, transcriptomic, and epigenomic datasets.
- Collaborate with biologists, geneticists, and clinicians to define research questions and design appropriate analyses.
- Develop and implement custom scripts and algorithms to address specific research needs.
- Visualize and communicate complex genomic data to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in bioinformatics tools, algorithms, and technologies.
Requirements
- Master's or Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in bioinformatics, with a strong focus on analyzing large-scale genomics data.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in bioinformatics (e.g., Python, R, Perl).
- Extensive experience with NGS data analysis tools and platforms (e.g., alignment software, variant callers, pathway analysis tools).
- Solid understanding of statistical methods and machine learning algorithms relevant to biological data.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
