Automotive Workshop Supervisor

Our client, a busy automotive service center in Polokwane , is looking for an experienced and proactive Automotive Workshop Supervisor to lead their team of technicians. This hybrid role involves overseeing daily workshop operations, ensuring efficient workflow, managing service quality, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. You will be instrumental in coordinating service appointments, assigning tasks, and mentoring technicians, bridging the gap between management and the technical team to ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence in the Limpopo province.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the automotive workshop technicians.
• Assign repair orders to technicians based on skill set and workload, ensuring efficient job completion.
• Monitor the quality of work performed, ensuring it meets dealership standards and customer expectations.
• Assist technicians with complex diagnostic challenges and provide technical guidance.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workshop environment.
• Manage parts inventory in coordination with the parts department and approve parts orders for repairs.

Requirements

• Significant experience as an Automotive Technician, with proven leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and a deep understanding of automotive systems and diagnostics.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to manage and motivate a team.
• Proficiency with workshop management software and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to balance hands-on technical input with supervisory responsibilities.
