General Manager - Plant Engineering and Facilities
Are you a senior engineering professional with strong experience in plant engineering, maintenance and reliability within a manufacturing or industrial environment?
Our client is looking for a General Manager: Plant Engineering & Facilities to lead the reliability, maintenance, facilities and engineering compliance functions within a manufacturing environment.
This is a senior operational leadership role suited to a practical engineering leader who can build effective systems, develop technical teams and ensure that plant, equipment, infrastructure and utilities support safe, stable and reliable production.

Requirements
Qualifications
- Grade 12.
- NQF 7 in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent recognised engineering qualification.
- BSc/BEng in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- GCC Factories.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years' engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Minimum 5 years' experience leading maintenance, reliability, plant engineering or asset management teams.
- Proven experience implementing and improving preventative, predictive and planned maintenance systems.
- Experience leading artisans, technicians, contractors and technical teams.
- Strong experience in engineering compliance, machinery safety, risk controls and statutory inspections.
- Experience with maintenance budgets, critical spares, shutdown planning and contractor management.
- Exposure to presses, automated lines, welding systems, conveyors, robotics, utilities and high-uptime production environments.
Technical Expertise

- Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM)
- Preventative & predictive maintenance
- Root Cause Failure Analysis
- Maintenance planning and scheduling
