Maintenance Manager

Introduction

Our client is a well-established manufacturing company based in Hammanskraal, operating within the plastics and industrial manufacturing sector. They are looking for an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance function of their factory and ensure that production machinery, equipment, and related systems remain operational, safe, and well maintained.

The successful candidate will play a key role in minimising downtime, managing maintenance activities, coordinating contractors and suppliers, and ensuring that maintenance requirements are effectively planned and executed.

  • Oversee the maintenance and implementation of systems.

  
  

  • Manage the day-to-day maintenance requirements of the factory.

  
  

  • Ensure machinery is maintained appropriately.

  
  

  • Identify maintenance issues and coordinate solutions to minimise factory downtime.

  
  

  • Assist with other operational duties and responsibilities when required.

  
  

  • Ensure maintenance-related activities are properly organised and documented.

  
  
  
  

Desired Experience & Qualification

  TechnicalRequirements:

  
  
  
  

  • Relevant engineering, maintenance, mechanical, electrical, or technical qualification would be advantageous.

  
  

  • Must have previous experience in a manufacturing or factory environment.

  
  

  • Experience with factory production machinery.

  
  

  • Good understanding and knowledge of engineering and machinery systems.

  
  

  • Experience managing external contractors and service providers.

  • Strong organisational and planning skills.

  
  

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  
  

  • Ability to manage breakdowns and urgent maintenance requirements under pressure.

  • Ability to manage suppliers, contractors, quotations, and parts orders.

  
  

  • Must be flexible and willing to assist in other areas when required.

  
  
  
  

Package & Remuneration
