Agricultural Sales Representative

Our client is looking for a driven and customer-focused Agricultural Sales Representative to manage, grow and service a portfolio of clients within the agricultural sector.

The role focuses on building strong relationships with growers, packhouses and agricultural businesses, understanding their packaging requirements and providing tailored solutions while achieving sales targets and maintaining required GP margins.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow relationships with agricultural clients through regular communication and site visits.

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the agricultural sector.

• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales and revenue targets.

• Prepare and negotiate quotations within agreed pricing and GP margin parameters.

• Maintain accurate lead, client, quotation and sales activity records on the company's CRM/task management platform.

• Provide proactive client service and resolve issues, particularly during seasonal and peak harvesting periods.

Minimum Requirements

• Proven sales track record, preferably within agricultural, packaging, industrial or related sectors.

• Good understanding of agricultural cycles, packhouse operations and fresh produce requirements.

• Experience in new business development, account management and client relationship building.

• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to work within GP/margin requirements.

• Experience using CRM, task management or sales pipeline platforms.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.

• High emotional intelligence and a strong customer-service focus.

• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly to farms, packhouses and clients.

Salary

Basic: R30 000 - R35 000 dependent on experience plus commission
