About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with an Engineering background to join their team in Stellenbosch. This role is vital for leading complex engineering projects from conceptualization through to successful completion, ensuring technical integrity, adherence to specifications, and timely delivery. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams, R&D, and production departments to drive innovation and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and closing of diverse engineering projects, ensuring alignment with technical and business requirements.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines, R&D, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless project progression.
• Oversee the technical aspects of projects, ensuring adherence to engineering standards, quality, and safety protocols.
• Facilitate clear communication among project team members, stakeholders, and external partners.
• Conduct project reviews and post-mortem analyses to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Manager, with a significant portion focused on engineering projects.
• Strong technical understanding of engineering principles and processes relevant to the industry.
• Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and relevant software tools.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, suitable for managing hybrid teams.
• Ability to manage complex technical challenges and stakeholder expectations effectively.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
