About the Role

You will be responsible for evaluating complex risks, determining appropriate policy terms and premiums, and providing guidance to junior underwriters. Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite complex and large-risk insurance applications, ensuring profitability and adherence to guidelines.
• Analyze financial statements, loss history, and other relevant data to assess risk.
• Develop and apply appropriate pricing models and policy structures.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior underwriters and other teams.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients.
• Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in insurance underwriting, with a strong track record in commercial lines.
• Advanced knowledge of underwriting principles, risk management, and insurance law.
• Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ACII, CIP) are highly desirable.
• Exceptional analytical, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
• Strong communication and relationship-building capabilities.
