Quality Control Analyst - Pharmaceutical

About the Role

Our client seeks a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Control Analyst to join their vital operations in Tembisa . This position plays a critical role in ensuring that all pharmaceutical products manufactured meet the highest standards of safety, efficacy, and quality. You will be responsible for performing a wide range of analytical tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products. The successful candidate will be committed to maintaining stringent quality control procedures and contributing to the overall integrity of the company's product portfolio, working within a dedicated quality assurance department.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine analytical testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished pharmaceutical products using established methods.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including HPLC, GC, UV-Vis spectrophotometers, and dissolution testers.
• Accurately document all testing results, deviations, and observations in compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results and participate in root cause analysis to identify and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare Certificates of Analysis (CoA) and other quality control documentation as required.
• Participate in method validation and transfer activities for new or existing analytical methods.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical Quality Control laboratory setting.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining common analytical instruments such as HPLC and GC.
• Strong understanding of GMP , GLP, and relevant regulatory guidelines.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meticulously follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Resides in or near Tembisa , with the ability to work on-site in a laboratory environment.
