FMCG Production Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and analytical FMCG Production Planner to join their operations team in Mahikeng. This critical role involves developing and maintaining efficient production schedules that ensure optimal resource utilization and timely delivery of fast-moving consumer goods. You will work closely with production, inventory, and procurement teams to forecast demand, manage material requirements, and minimize production downtime. The ideal candidate possesses strong planning skills, a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, and a commitment to operational excellence within the FMCG industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed production schedules to meet demand forecasts and optimize manufacturing output for FMCG products.
• Coordinate with inventory management to ensure availability of raw materials and components.
• Monitor production progress against schedules, identifying and resolving any deviations or bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with the procurement team on material requirements planning (MRP).
• Analyze production data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings.
• Ensure effective communication between production, warehousing, and logistics teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in production planning or scheduling, preferably in the FMCG manufacturing sector.
• Proficiency in using planning software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work across different departments.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing production demands.
