About the Role

Our client is looking for a vigilant and experienced Senior Aviation Security Specialist to enhance security protocols at their operations in Randburg . This role is pivotal in safeguarding passengers, crew, aircraft, and facilities against threats. You will develop, implement, and oversee security measures, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with aviation security regulations. This hybrid position allows for on-site strategic planning and oversight combined with remote analysis and policy development, offering a dynamic work experience. You will work closely with airport authorities, law enforcement, and internal teams to maintain a secure and safe environment for all aviation activities, contributing to the overall integrity of air travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive aviation security plans and procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses of airport facilities and operations.
• Oversee the implementation and effectiveness of security screening processes and technologies.
• Ensure compliance with national and international aviation security regulations (e.g., ICAO, TSA requirements).
• Investigate security breaches and incidents, recommending and implementing corrective actions.
• Train and manage security personnel, providing guidance on best practices and protocols.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in aviation security, law enforcement, or military security.
• Proven experience in developing and managing security programs within the aviation sector.
• In-depth knowledge of aviation security laws, regulations, and threat mitigation strategies.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in a hybrid work model, balancing on-site presence with remote responsibilities in Randburg .
