Sales Consulting Engineer [Hvac]

We are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled HVAC Sales Consulting Engineer to drive business development, specification sales, and project acquisition within the commercial, industrial, retail, healthcare, and residential sectors - Johannesburg

Key Responsibilities
Business Development

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the HVAC market.
• Generate specifications and secure project opportunities through consulting engineers and key stakeholders.
• Build and maintain relationships with consulting engineers, architects, quantity surveyors, developers, contractors, and end users.
• Establish and grow a pipeline of new projects.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis.
• Achieve agreed sales targets and profitability objectives.
• Develop and implement strategic sales plans.
• Manage client accounts and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Negotiate commercial terms and contracts.
• Present technical solutions and product specifications to clients.

Technical Consulting

• Provide HVAC system selection and design support.
• Review building plans, specifications, and tender documents.
• Recommend appropriate HVAC solutions based on application requirements.
• Assist clients with equipment selection, energy efficiency assessments, and lifecycle cost evaluations.
• Conduct technical presentations and CPD sessions where required.
• Prepare quotations, tenders, and technical proposals.
• Manage project opportunities from specification stage through tender award and project completion.
• Coordinate with internal engineering, estimating, and operations teams.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to management.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.

Customer Relationship Management

• Maintain accurate CRM records.
• Conduct regular client visits and project follow-ups.
• Resolve technical and commercial issues promptly.
• Identify opportunities for repeat business and long-term partnerships.

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications

• National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• We are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled HVAC Sales Consulting Engineer to drive business development, specification sales, and project acquisition within the commercial, industrial, retail, healthcare, and residential sectors - Johannesburg HVAC design and engineering qualifications will be advantageous.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years' experience in HVAC sales or consulting engineering.
• Proven track record in specification sales and project acquisition.
• Experience dealing with consulting engineers, developers, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Exposure to commercial and industrial HVAC projects.
