Field Service Driver

About the Role

Our client is searching for a dependable Field Service Driver to provide essential transportation and logistical support for their technical teams in the Nelspruit area. This role involves traveling to various client sites to transport equipment, materials, and sometimes personnel. You will be responsible for ensuring that service technicians have the necessary resources delivered promptly and efficiently. The ideal candidate is a skilled driver with excellent navigational abilities and a commitment to supporting operational success in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport equipment, tools, parts, and materials to and from client sites and company locations.
• Ensure the safe and secure loading, transport, and unloading of all items.
• Navigate efficiently using GPS and maps, adhering to planned schedules.
• Maintain the assigned vehicle in a clean and roadworthy condition, reporting any maintenance needs.
• Communicate effectively with service technicians and dispatch regarding delivery status and any site-specific requirements.
• Assist field technicians with minor on-site logistical support as needed.

Requirements

• Valid Code 10 driver's license with a Professional Driver's Permit (PDP).
• Demonstrable experience as a professional driver, with a focus on service or delivery roles.
• Excellent knowledge of the Nelspruit region and surrounding areas.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
• Good physical condition to handle the loading and unloading of equipment.
• Professional demeanor and strong customer service skills.
