Montessori Teacher - Primary Years

Our client, a respected Montessori school in Mahikeng , is seeking a certified and passionate Montessori Teacher for their Primary Years program (ages 6-9). This role is central to guiding children through the Montessori curriculum, fostering independence, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning. You will create a prepared environment that respects the child's natural development and guides them through individual learning journeys. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a child-centered Montessori environment, including the arrangement of learning materials.
• Guide individual children through the Montessori curriculum, observing their progress and providing tailored support.
• Facilitate group lessons and activities that foster collaboration and deepen understanding.
• Foster independence, concentration, and self-discipline in students.
• Communicate effectively with parents about their child's development, progress, and engagement in the classroom.
• Collaborate with fellow educators and contribute to the school's overall educational mission.

Requirements

• A recognized Montessori teaching certification (e.g., AMI, MACTE) for the Primary age group.
• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• Experience implementing the Montessori philosophy in a classroom setting.
• Strong understanding of child development within the Montessori framework.
• Excellent observation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a calm, ordered, and stimulating learning environment.
