About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a nurturing and enthusiastic Primary School Teacher to join their Foundation Phase team in Richards Bay . This role is crucial in providing a stimulating and supportive environment for young learners, laying the groundwork for their academic journey. You will be responsible for creating age-appropriate lesson plans, fostering foundational literacy and numeracy skills, and encouraging social and emotional development. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to creating a joyful and effective learning experience for every child in Richards Bay .

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for Foundation Phase learners (Grades R-3) across all key learning areas.
• Create a stimulating and safe classroom environment that promotes active learning and exploration.
• Develop children's foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and life skills through creative activities.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Foster positive social-emotional development and encourage good peer relationships.

Requirements

• A relevant qualification in Foundation Phase teaching (e.g., Diploma in Education, B.Ed.).
• Registration with the South African Council for Educators (SACE).
• Proven experience in teaching young children within the Foundation Phase.
• Excellent understanding of child development and early learning principles.
• Strong communication, patience, and organizational skills.
