About the Role
Our client, a respected early learning center in Stellenbosch , is looking for a compassionate and skilled Toddler Teacher to join their dedicated team. This role focuses on providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged 18 months to 3 years. You will be responsible for guiding toddlers through crucial developmental stages, fostering their curiosity, and encouraging social interaction through play-based learning. If you have a passion for early childhood education and experience with this specific age group in Western Cape , this could be the perfect fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate daily routines and activities for toddlers.
- Ensure the safety, health, and emotional well-being of all children under your care.
- Observe and document each child's development, progress, and needs, communicating effectively with parents.
- Create a stimulating and interactive learning environment that encourages exploration and discovery.
- Assist toddlers with daily care needs, including feeding, hygiene, and naps.
- Foster positive social skills and peer interaction among the children.
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Early Childhood Development (ECD) or equivalent.
- Proven experience working specifically with toddlers in a childcare or educational setting.
- A deep understanding of toddler development, including cognitive, physical, and social-emotional milestones.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both children and adults.
- Patience, creativity, and a nurturing disposition are essential.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification required.
