Daycare Assistant - Playgroup Facilitator

About the Role

Our client, a vibrant daycare center in Klerksdorp , seeks a proactive and compassionate Daycare Assistant to assist in facilitating their playgroup program for young children. This role is instrumental in supporting the lead teacher by creating an engaging, educational, and secure environment that encourages early exploration and social interaction. You will directly contribute to the positive daily experiences of the children, supporting their developmental milestones and ensuring a safe and happy atmosphere within the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in planning and executing daily activities for the playgroup.
• Supervise children during play, rest, and meal times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Support children's social and emotional development through positive interactions.
• Assist with feeding, nappy changes, and personal hygiene routines as needed.
• Communicate effectively with the lead teacher and other staff members regarding classroom needs and child progress.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a childcare setting, preferably with toddlers or infants.
• A genuine passion for early childhood education and development.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
