About the Role

Our client is seeking an visionary Senior Telecom Network Architect to join their fully remote engineering team. This strategic position is responsible for designing and evolving the next generation of our client's telecommunications infrastructure. You will lead the conceptualization and planning of complex network solutions, ensuring they are scalable, resilient, and cost-effective. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-level network architecture blueprints and roadmaps for current and future telecommunications services.
• Lead the design and evaluation of new technologies and solutions, such as 5G core, SDN, and cloud-native network functions.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, and operations teams to define technical requirements and strategies.
• Provide expert consultation and technical leadership on complex network design challenges and problem-solving.
• Create detailed technical specifications, implementation plans, and best practice guidelines.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and architects, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in telecom network design and architecture, with a strong focus on service provider networks.
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and segment routing.
• Extensive experience with virtualization, containerization, and cloud technologies (e.g., OpenStack, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure).
• Demonstrated ability to architect complex, large-scale distributed systems and high-availability solutions.
• Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills, crucial for effective remote collaboration.
