Lead Civil Design Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Lead Civil Design Engineer to join their team on a fully remote basis. This senior role requires a strategic thinker with a proven ability to lead design teams and deliver complex civil infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for technical oversight, guiding design processes, and ensuring that all projects meet stringent quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization and detailed design of large-scale civil infrastructure projects, including transportation networks, water management systems, and site development.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of civil engineers and drafters.
• Develop and review design standards, guidelines, and best practices for the organization.
• Conduct complex engineering calculations and analyses to ensure structural integrity and functionality.
• Coordinate with clients, regulatory bodies, and other disciplines to ensure design compliance and project success.
• Oversee the preparation of tender documents, construction drawings, and specifications.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in civil design, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Professional registration with ECSA as a Pr Eng or Pr Tech is essential.
• Extensive experience with advanced civil design software and BIM technologies.
• Proven ability to manage technical aspects of multi-disciplinary projects.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, adapted for remote collaboration.
