Electrical Draughtsperson

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and skilled Electrical Draughtsperson to join their team in Benoni . This hybrid role combines in-office collaboration with remote flexibility, allowing you to contribute to diverse projects. You will be responsible for producing accurate and detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and documentation that are crucial for the successful implementation of our client's engineering solutions. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and proficiency in industry-standard CAD software, supporting the engineering team in delivering high-quality designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed electrical drawings, including schematics, wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, and site plans.


• Ensure all drawings comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and client specifications.


• Collaborate with Electrical Engineers to understand design requirements and translate them into precise technical drawings.


• Update and revise existing drawings based on project changes or field feedback.


• Manage drawing revisions and maintain an organized system for drawing archives.


• Assist in the preparation of Bill of Materials (BOMs) based on design drawings.

Requirements

• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.


• Proven experience as an Electrical Draughtsperson.


• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or similar CAD software is essential.


• Strong understanding of electrical symbols, conventions, and engineering principles.


• Good spatial reasoning and attention to detail.


• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, communicating clearly with remote and on-site colleagues.
