About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Industrial Engineering Manager to lead their team and initiatives in Polokwane . This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all industrial engineering functions, including process optimization, facility design, and operational efficiency improvements across the organization. You will guide a team of engineers, set strategic direction, and collaborate with senior management to ensure operational excellence and achieve business objectives. This is a pivotal role for a proven leader passionate about driving impactful change.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of industrial engineers to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
• Develop and implement the overall industrial engineering strategy to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
• Oversee the design and implementation of new production processes, facility layouts, and material handling systems.
• Drive the adoption of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles throughout the organization.
• Manage major process improvement projects, ensuring timely completion and achievement of desired outcomes.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align engineering initiatives with business strategy and financial targets.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field; MBA is a plus.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role.
• Extensive experience with lean manufacturing , Six Sigma (Black Belt certification preferred), and operational excellence methodologies.
• Proven track record of leading complex projects and driving significant operational improvements.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
