About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous Automotive Quality Assurance Engineer to join their product integrity team in Randburg . This role is essential for guaranteeing that all automotive components and systems meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance before they are integrated into vehicles. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure resolution. The hybrid work arrangement allows for effective on-site testing and analysis combined with remote flexibility for documentation and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement detailed quality assurance test plans and test cases for automotive components and software.
• Perform rigorous testing, including functional, performance, regression, and integration testing.
• Identify, document, and track software defects and hardware issues using bug-tracking systems.
• Collaborate with development and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and verify defect fixes.
• Analyze test results, generate comprehensive quality reports, and provide feedback on product readiness.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies within the automotive context.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer, preferably within the automotive industry.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
