Telecom Solutions Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and innovative Telecom Solutions Architect to design and guide the implementation of cutting-edge communication systems for their operations in Vereeniging . This senior role requires a deep technical understanding of telecommunications technologies and the ability to translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable, and cost-effective solutions. You will work closely with sales, engineering, and product management teams to shape the future of our client's service offerings. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in solution design and a proven track record of delivering successful large-scale telecom projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of end-to-end telecom solutions, including network, voice, and data services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business and technical requirements for new projects.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations for integration into the existing infrastructure.
• Develop technical proposals, blueprints, and implementation plans for complex solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering and deployment teams.
• Ensure solutions meet scalability, reliability, security, and performance objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in telecommunications, with at least 5 years in a Solutions Architect or senior design role.
• Expertise in network architecture, IP networking, cloud telephony, and mobile technologies (e.g., 5G, LTE).
• Proven ability to design and architect complex, high-availability systems.
• Strong understanding of service provider networks and enterprise communication platforms.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, adept at explaining technical concepts to diverse audiences in Vereeniging.
