Remote HR Compliance Officer

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a meticulous and experienced Remote HR Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to all labor laws and regulations. This fully remote position allows you to work from anywhere within South Africa, focusing on maintaining the highest standards of HR compliance. You will be responsible for auditing HR practices, developing compliance policies, and training staff on regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor HR policies and procedures to ensure full compliance with South African labor law.
• Conduct regular audits of HR practices, including recruitment, employment contracts, payroll, and employee records.
• Investigate and resolve compliance issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Stay abreast of changes in labor legislation and update company policies and training accordingly.
• Provide guidance and training to employees and management on compliance matters.
• Manage reporting requirements to relevant government bodies and ensure accurate documentation.

Requirements

• Law degree or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience specifically in HR compliance or labor law advisory roles.
• Deep understanding of South African labor legislation (BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA, etc.).
• Experience in conducting HR audits and developing compliance frameworks.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to work independently and manage workload effectively in a fully remote capacity.
