Architectural BIM Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Architectural BIM Coordinator to join their innovative practice based in Randburg . This role is critical for ensuring the efficient implementation and management of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes across all projects. You will be responsible for developing BIM standards, training staff, and coordinating BIM models to ensure data integrity and facilitate seamless collaboration between disciplines. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical understanding of BIM software and workflows, contributing to the firm's commitment to cutting-edge technology and project delivery excellence in Gauteng .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement BIM standards, protocols, and best practices for the architectural team.
• Manage and coordinate BIM models from multiple disciplines (architecture, structure, MEP).
• Conduct clash detection and issue resolution to ensure model accuracy and consistency.
• Provide training and support to architectural staff on BIM software and workflows.
• Ensure compliance with project BIM requirements and South African national BIM standards.
• Collaborate with project teams to optimize BIM usage for design, documentation, and construction.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in BIM coordination, with a strong focus on architecture.
• Expert proficiency in Revit and Navisworks, with a thorough understanding of BIM workflows.
• Experience in developing BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and content libraries.
• Knowledge of federated models and interdisciplinary coordination processes.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and training skills relevant to Randburg projects.
