Accountant \/ Financial Controller Market-related salary Port Elizabeth \/ GQ Start date: ASAP! Are you an experienced, hands-on Accountant ready to take ownership of a broad function and step into a role with real responsibility? Our client is seeking to employ a strong all-round Accountant \/ Financial Controller to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is far more than a processing role — you'll be involved in , payroll, month-end, reporting, inventory, costing, compliance and team oversight. Responsibilities Full day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping Month-end close and management reporting Monthly salaries and weekly wages Debtors, creditors and reconciliations Inventory, costing and manufacturing variances VAT, PAYE, audit and compliance Cash flow and working capital information Reviewing and developing junior finance staff Working with external auditors, tax practitioners and advisers Improving systems, processes and financial controls Experience and Qualifications Accounting or relevant equivalent qualification 4–7 years' relevant accounting experience Strong hands-on accounting, payroll, month-end & reporting experience Intermediate–Advanced Excel skills — Pivot Tables, lookups & analytical schedules Strong accounting systems aptitude Xero experience advantageous Cin7 or similar inventory system exposure advantageous Manufacturing \/ production costing \/ stock-based environment experience advantageous Completed articles, SAIPA, AGA (SA) or progress towards a professional designation would be beneficial This role is perfect for the type of Accountant who doesn't want to be told what to do.
