About the Role Our client is seeking a data-driven and analytical Retail Operations Analyst to join their team in Sandton . This hybrid role is focused on analyzing operational data to identify areas for improvement, optimize efficiency, and enhance profitability across the retail business. You will play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making by providing insights into sales performance, inventory management, supply chain logistics, and customer behavior. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of retail operations, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations for business growth. Key Responsibilities Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data from various retail systems (POS, inventory, CRM). Develop reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, inventory, and operational efficiency. Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in operational data and provide insights and recommendations. Support the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance operational effectiveness. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, operations, finance) to understand their data needs and provide analytical support. Conduct ad-hoc analysis to address specific business questions and opportunities in the retail space. Requirements Proven experience as an Operations Analyst or similar analytical role, preferably in retail . Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings clearly and concisely. Understanding of retail operations, supply chain, and financial principles.
