Maintenance Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead their technical team in Klerksdorp . This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance operations, including the installation, repair, and upkeep of industrial equipment and facilities. You will ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards. This hybrid role requires a balance of on-site leadership and potential remote administrative tasks, offering a chance to influence maintenance strategies and team performance. Your leadership will be key to maintaining operational continuity and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team, assigning tasks and ensuring timely completion.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all plant machinery and facility systems.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring proper integration and functionality.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and opportunities for efficiency improvements.
• Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement of necessary maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to maintenance staff, fostering a culture of skill development and problem-solving.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within an industrial maintenance or installation environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems relevant to industrial operations.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Experience with maintenance management software and inventory control.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to balance on-site operational needs with remote planning and administrative responsibilities.
