HR Compliance Officer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and knowledgeable HR Compliance Officer to join their team in Benoni . This critical role ensures that all HR practices and policies adhere to national and provincial labour laws, regulations, and industry standards. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs, conducting audits, and providing guidance on legal and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labour laws.
• Conduct regular audits of HR practices, records, and documentation to identify potential compliance risks.
• Stay abreast of changes in legislation and regulatory requirements affecting human resources.
• Provide expert advice and training to management and staff on compliance matters.
• Investigate and resolve compliance issues and concerns raised by employees or management.
• Manage reporting requirements to relevant government bodies and agencies.

Requirements

• Law degree or a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in HR, with a strong focus on compliance and employment law.
• In-depth knowledge of South African labour legislation, including BCEA, LRA, EEA, and SDA.
• Experience in conducting HR audits and risk assessments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
