About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Retail Associate for their store in Tembisa, Gauteng . This role is ideal for a motivated individual who excels in customer engagement, possesses strong product knowledge, and can contribute to a positive team dynamic. As a Senior Associate, you will be instrumental in driving sales, assisting customers with their needs, and maintaining the overall presentation of the store. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior staff and upholding the company's high standards of service and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service, assisting shoppers with product selection and inquiries to drive sales.
• Maintain a high level of product knowledge across all merchandise categories.
• Assist in managing store inventory, including receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and conducting regular stock checks.
• Process customer transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Uphold store presentation standards, ensuring a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor.
• Support the Store Manager and Assistant Manager in achieving sales targets and operational goals.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to new retail associates.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a customer-facing retail role, preferably with some leadership responsibilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Proven ability to meet sales targets and contribute to team objectives.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in stock management and store upkeep.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn about new products and retail trends.
