Our client is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Sports Coach specializing in Rugby to join their prestigious academy in Stellenbosch. This role involves developing elite athletes, designing comprehensive training programs, and fostering a culture of excellence and sportsmanship. You will lead coaching staff, implement innovative training methodologies, and contribute significantly to the success of the academy's teams, shaping the future of young rugby talent.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement advanced training and conditioning programs tailored to elite rugby players.
• Lead, mentor, and manage assistant coaches and support staff, ensuring a cohesive and effective coaching unit.
• Conduct detailed performance analysis of individual players and team performance, providing constructive feedback.
• Oversee player recruitment, development, and welfare, ensuring a holistic approach to athlete growth.
• Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes discipline, teamwork, resilience, and a strong work ethic.

Requirements

• Recognized coaching qualifications (e.g., World Rugby Level 3 or higher) are essential.
• A minimum of 7 years of high-performance coaching experience in rugby, preferably at academy or professional level.
• Proven ability to develop and implement effective tactical and technical game plans.
• Strong understanding of sports science principles, including physiology, nutrition, and injury prevention.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and motivational skills.
