About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated Social Development Facilitator to join their team in Polokwane . This role is focused on empowering individuals and communities through targeted development programs aimed at addressing social and economic challenges. You will work closely with community members to identify needs, facilitate access to resources, and support the implementation of sustainable development initiatives. Your efforts will be pivotal in fostering positive change and improving the quality of life for residents in the Limpopo province. This is a hands-on role requiring significant community interaction and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions on topics such as financial literacy, skills development, and small business support.
- Conduct needs assessments to understand community challenges and opportunities.
- Connect community members with relevant government programs, NGOs, and private sector opportunities.
- Support the establishment and growth of community-based projects and initiatives.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress and impact of development programs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders and local stakeholders in Polokwane.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in community development, project facilitation, or social work.
- Strong understanding of socio-economic issues and development frameworks relevant to the Limpopo region.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse community groups and individuals.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages such as Sepedi is a strong asset.
