Telecommunications Equipment Installer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Telecommunications Equipment Installer to join their field operations team in Port Elizabeth . This role involves the physical installation, configuration, and testing of telecommunications equipment, including mobile network infrastructure and fixed-line systems. You will be responsible for ensuring that installations meet all technical specifications and quality standards, working directly with clients to provide a seamless service. This hands‑on position requires a strong technical aptitude and a commitment to delivering reliable telecommunications solutions across the Eastern Cape.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and configure telecommunications hardware, such as base stations, antennas, and customer premises equipment.
• Perform site surveys and prepare installation sites according to project requirements.
• Test installed equipment to verify functionality, signal strength, and compliance with specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any installation‑related issues or defects.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, site conditions, and equipment used.

Requirements

• Proven experience in installing telecommunications equipment.
• Familiarity with fiber optic cabling, RF principles, and network infrastructure.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and installation manuals.
• Basic understanding of electrical wiring and safety procedures.
• Good physical condition and ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
