Telecoms Network Operations Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent Telecoms Network Operations Analyst to join their team in Stellenbosch . This hybrid role focuses on the day-to-day monitoring, management, and support of the company's telecommunications network infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring network stability, identifying potential issues, and responding effectively to incidents to minimize downtime. Working within a collaborative team environment, you will contribute to the overall reliability and performance of our client's network services in the scenic Western Cape region.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance and traffic using specialized tools, identifying anomalies and potential issues.


• Respond to network alerts and incidents, performing initial diagnostics and escalating as necessary.


• Execute routine network maintenance tasks, including software updates and configuration changes.


• Analyze network data to identify trends, performance bottlenecks, and areas for optimization.


• Document network events, troubleshooting steps, and resolution actions.


• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to implement network improvements and resolve complex problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.


• 2+ years of experience in network operations or a similar technical support role.


• Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and monitoring tools.


• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.


• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid setting.


• Good communication skills for reporting and collaborating with colleagues.
