About the Role
Our client is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Site Engineer to join their team, overseeing road construction projects in and around Mahikeng . This role requires a proactive approach to managing on-site operations, ensuring that construction activities align with project specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols. You will play a vital role in the successful execution of infrastructure development projects, contributing to the region's growth. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage day-to-day on-site construction activities for road and related infrastructure projects.
- Ensure adherence to project plans, drawings, specifications, and quality control procedures.
- Conduct daily site inspections, identify potential issues, and implement timely solutions.
- Manage site resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Implement and enforce health and safety regulations on site, conducting toolbox talks and safety audits.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily progress reports, measurement records, and incident logs.
Requirements
- A National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Site Engineer, preferably in road construction or civil infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality assurance practices in roadworks.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations applicable to construction sites.
- Strong organizational skills, problem-solving ability, and effective communication with site teams and supervisors.
