Senior Process Optimization Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Process Optimization Engineer for a fully remote position. This role is critical in analyzing complex operational systems, identifying areas for significant improvement, and leading the design and implementation of innovative solutions across the organization. You will leverage advanced data analytics, modeling techniques, and your deep understanding of industrial engineering principles to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader, adept at remote collaboration, and passionate about transforming operations through data-driven insights and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis of intricate business and production processes to identify root causes of inefficiency and waste.
• Develop and implement advanced optimization strategies using Lean Manufacturing , Six Sigma, and other relevant methodologies.
• Design and model future-state processes, workflows, and system architectures to achieve strategic operational goals.
• Utilize sophisticated data analysis and simulation tools to quantify the impact of proposed changes and predict outcomes.
• Collaborate virtually with senior management, cross-functional teams, and external partners to drive consensus and facilitate the implementation of optimization projects.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs), monitor process performance post-implementation, and ensure sustained improvements.

Requirements

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering , Operations Research, or a closely related quantitative field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in process optimization, industrial engineering, or operations management, with a focus on large-scale projects.
• Expertise in Lean Manufacturing , Six Sigma (Black Belt or Master Black Belt preferred), and other continuous improvement frameworks.
• Advanced proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Arena, AnyLogic), statistical software (e.g., Minitab, R), and data visualization tools.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities.
• Demonstrated success in leading complex projects and influencing change within a remote or distributed environment.
