Virtual Events Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a forward-thinking and technically adept Virtual Events Specialist to join their team, working remotely from Klerksdorp or anywhere in South Africa. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and executing engaging virtual and hybrid events that connect with a global audience. This role requires a deep understanding of event technology platforms, digital marketing strategies, and creating immersive online experiences that foster attendee interaction and achieve event objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage all aspects of virtual and hybrid events using various online platforms.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define event goals, target audiences, and content strategies.
• Manage event technology, including registration systems, streaming services, and interactive tools.
• Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns to promote virtual events and drive registrations.
• Provide technical support and guidance to speakers, sponsors, and attendees before and during events.
• Analyze event data and provide reports on key performance indicators, engagement metrics, and ROI.

Requirements

• Proven experience in planning and executing virtual events or digital marketing campaigns.
• Proficiency with event management software and virtual event platforms (e.g., Zoom Events, Hopin, Bizzabo).
• Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, and content creation for online audiences.
• Excellent project management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
