Project Manager - Healthcare Technology

About the Role

Our client in East London is seeking an accomplished Project Manager specializing in Healthcare Technology. This role offers a hybrid work model, combining the flexibility of remote work with the necessity of on-site engagement with healthcare professionals and facilities. You will be responsible for managing the implementation of innovative healthcare IT solutions, electronic health records (EHR), and other digital health platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the healthcare industry, project management best practices, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments while ensuring seamless integration of technology into clinical workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful deployment of healthcare technology projects, such as EHR systems.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g., POPIA, HIPAA equivalent).
• Collaborate closely with clinicians, IT staff, vendors, and hospital administration to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Facilitate effective communication and stakeholder management across the hybrid work environment.
• Oversee the integration of new healthcare technologies into existing clinical workflows.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for healthcare IT projects.

Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, with a significant portion focused on healthcare IT.
• Demonstrated experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) or other health information systems (HIS).
• Understanding of healthcare regulations and data privacy standards.
• Experience working effectively in a hybrid work model.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
