Lead Information Security Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Lead Information Security Architect to design and guide the implementation of their security infrastructure in Vereeniging. This senior role involves defining the overall security architecture, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and industry best practices. You will lead the development of security strategies, evaluate new technologies, and provide technical leadership to the security engineering and operations teams. This is a critical position for a strategic thinker who can translate complex security requirements into robust, scalable, and secure architectural designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the organization's enterprise security architecture, ensuring it is robust, scalable, and secure.
• Define security standards, guidelines, and best practices for technology adoption and development.
• Lead the evaluation and selection of security technologies and solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to security architects and engineers.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Extensive experience (8+ years) in information security, with a significant focus on security architecture and design.
• Deep understanding of various security domains, including network security, application security, cloud security, and cryptography.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing enterprise-level security strategies and roadmaps.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
