About the Role

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and technically minded individual to join as an IT Support Technician Apprentice in Klerksdorp . This hybrid role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience in providing essential IT support within a business environment. You will work under the guidance of experienced IT professionals, learning to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, as well as assisting users with technical queries. Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, and standard applications.
• Assist in troubleshooting network connectivity problems and basic server administration tasks.
• Respond to IT support tickets, prioritizing and resolving issues in a timely manner.
• Help manage IT assets, including inventory tracking and equipment setup.
• Document technical solutions and user guides for common IT problems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a certificate or diploma in IT support or a related field is a strong advantage.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/macOS), and common software applications.
• Familiarity with network concepts and troubleshooting is beneficial.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to diagnosing issues.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, with patience and empathy.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
