About the Role
Our client is seeking a proficient Structural Design Engineer to bolster their engineering capabilities in Polokwane . In this role, you will be responsible for the structural design and analysis of various building and infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, stability, and compliance with all relevant codes and standards. You will collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and construction teams to bring innovative and resilient structures to life. Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure using advanced engineering software.
- Develop detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications for tender and construction purposes.
- Conduct site visits to verify design assumptions and monitor the quality of structural work during construction.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors to address design challenges and ensure project requirements are met.
- Ensure all designs comply with the latest National Building Regulations and SANS codes.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams throughout the design and construction phases.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) or equivalent in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in structural design.
- Professional registration with ECSA (Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng) is advantageous.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, Etabs, Prokon).
- Strong understanding of concrete and steel design principles and construction techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
