About the Role

Our client is seeking a distinguished Principal AI Ethicist to join their strategic policy team in Centurion . This critical role involves shaping the ethical framework and responsible development of AI technologies across the organization. You will be responsible for assessing the societal impact of AI systems, developing guidelines, and ensuring compliance with ethical standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive AI ethics policies, principles, and best practices across all AI development lifecycle stages.
• Conduct ethical risk assessments for new AI products and features, identifying potential biases and societal impacts.
• Collaborate with legal, engineering, and product teams to integrate ethical considerations into AI system design and implementation.
• Advise leadership on emerging ethical challenges and regulatory landscapes related to AI.
• Develop and deliver training programs on AI ethics for employees across the organization.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Philosophy, Ethics, Law, Sociology, or a related field with a specialization in technology ethics.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in AI ethics, responsible AI, or technology policy.
• Deep understanding of AI/ML concepts, societal implications, and ethical frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct rigorous ethical analysis and develop practical recommendations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, crucial for this role in Centurion .
