About the Role

Our client requires a detail-oriented Real Estate Paralegal to support their legal team in Benoni . This position involves providing critical assistance in a wide range of real estate transactions, including drafting and reviewing legal documents, conducting title searches, and managing closing processes. You will play a key role in ensuring that all legal aspects of property deals are handled efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal research skills, a thorough understanding of real estate law, and the ability to manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines, contributing to the seamless execution of property transactions in the Gauteng region.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and revise real estate contracts, deeds, and other legal documents.
• Conduct title searches, abstracting and examining property titles for encumbrances.
• Assist with the closing process, including coordinating with clients, lenders, and title companies.
• Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
• Perform legal research on property laws, zoning regulations, and case precedents.
• Liaise with clients, attorneys, and external parties to gather information and facilitate transactions.

Requirements

• Paralegal certificate or degree in a related field; relevant experience is key.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Real Estate Paralegal or in a legal support role for real estate transactions.
• Proficiency in legal research databases and real estate transaction management software.
• Strong understanding of property law, conveyancing, and title examination processes.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
• Familiarity with the legal landscape in Benoni and the broader Gauteng area.
