About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished and strategic Buyer III to join their procurement department in Sandton . This role is pivotal in managing high-value procurement activities and driving significant cost savings. You will be responsible for strategic sourcing, complex contract negotiation, and fostering strong supplier relationships to ensure the company receives optimal value and reliable supply. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in procurement, exceptional negotiation skills, and a proven ability to manage complex purchasing projects, thereby contributing significantly to the organization's financial health and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for critical goods and services, analyzing market trends and supplier capabilities.
• Negotiate complex contracts with key suppliers, ensuring favorable terms, pricing, and service levels.
• Manage and develop relationships with major vendors, overseeing performance and resolving issues.
• Conduct detailed cost analysis and identify opportunities for savings and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a strategic buyer or senior procurement role.
• Demonstrated success in negotiating complex agreements and managing supplier performance.
• Advanced analytical skills and proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems .
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
