Senior Site Manager - Construction Projects

About the Role

Our client requires a highly capable Senior Site Manager to oversee significant construction projects based in Pretoria . This role is crucial for ensuring the successful delivery of building and infrastructure projects, managing all aspects of on-site operations from commencement through to completion. You will be responsible for leading construction teams, coordinating subcontractors, and meticulously controlling project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership, rigorous attention to detail, and a steadfast commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and direct all construction site activities, ensuring compliance with project blueprints and specifications.
• Develop, monitor, and manage project schedules and budgets, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Enforce all health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting regular safety audits.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site labor.
• Conduct thorough site inspections to ensure work quality meets project standards and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise effectively with clients, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project progress.

Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in managing construction sites and projects.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and safety standards pertinent to Pretoria .
• Strong leadership abilities, capable of managing and motivating diverse construction teams.
• Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project or similar.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and decision-making capabilities under pressure.
