About the Role
Our client is looking for a meticulous and proactive Remote HR Compliance Specialist to ensure adherence to all relevant labor laws and regulations across their distributed operations. This critical role involves staying abreast of evolving legislation, developing and updating HR policies, and conducting regular audits to maintain compliance. You will be a key resource for the organization, safeguarding it against legal risks and promoting ethical employment practices. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret federal, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Develop, update, and disseminate HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Conduct regular internal audits of HR practices, including employment records and compensation.
- Investigate and resolve compliance issues and employee complaints related to regulatory matters.
- Develop and deliver compliance training programs to employees and management.
- Maintain accurate and organized compliance documentation and records.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience focused on HR compliance and employment law.
- In-depth knowledge of South African labor legislation (BCEA, LRA, EEA, etc.).
- Experience in developing and implementing compliance programs and policies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to communicate complex legal requirements clearly.
