About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly knowledgeable Electrical Systems Specialist to join their technical department in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity, performance, and safety of all electrical systems across the company's operations. You will be involved in detailed analysis, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing upgrades to maintain state-of-the-art electrical infrastructure. This position requires a dedicated individual who can provide expert technical support and contribute to long-term system reliability on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth diagnostics and root cause analysis of complex electrical system faults.
• Develop and implement electrical system upgrades and modernization projects.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Provide expert technical consultation to engineering, maintenance, and operations teams.
• Conduct system audits and recommend improvements for efficiency, reliability, and safety.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of electrical engineering advancements and industry trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in electrical system analysis, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Expertise in high-voltage systems, power distribution, motor control, and protection relays.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and testing equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, thermal imagers).
• Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures and risk assessment.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
